What a great week! A 3 pound loss, but I am willing to concede 1.5 pounds because I was wearing shorts rather than jeans at weigh in this week. The thing that made this week great is that I managed a loss while having eaten birthday cake, pizza, KFC, and Cracker Barrel. I did step up the exercize this week though, going to the gym after work and trying to increase the amount of time I can spend on the eliptical machine. I really watched my points too, still staying within my weekly limits. I am thrilled with a loss while eating yummie foods. Not that a carrot or broccoli aren't yummie, but you know what I mean.

Now more than ever...

We need Robocop!

Well wo-holy cow, I'm nearly not as fat as I was 2 weeks ago! After gaining 1.2 pounds in week 4, I have somehow managed to lose .8 this week. A loss despite donuts on Mother's Day morning, Pizza Papalis that evening, and Cracker Barrel the day before. There is just one more temptation day left this month, and it's a biggie. Whitney's birthday is this weekend. I already feel the need for cake.

Week 4

Week 4 didn't happen. Ok, well, it did. I gained. I'm bummed. I didn't want to post this, and honestly, waited untill the last minute to do so. I think my schedule contributed to my gain. I normally work midnights, but last week I worked afternoons. I didn't feel right all week. Adding to the odd shift, this is a month of holidays at the Eilers house. Easter, Mother's Day, and Whitney's birthday all in 4 weeks. Watching what we eat, and accounting for what we did has been tough. I weigh in again this morning, we'll see what happens.

Week 3

Week 3. A week frought with danger. A week that culminated with Easter at Cracker Barrel. A week, that despite homestyle fried chicken, dumplings, corn, bisquits and honey, ended up with a weight loss! I was shocked when I went to the meeting today, got on the scale, and saw a loss. What a great feeling! I wasn't eating all the best foods last week and did go over my daily points by 29, the most I have sice starting. Keeping track of everything and not getting too out of hand paid off I guess. I can't let this go to my head though, Cracker Barrel fried chicken can't become a staple - again.

Whitney and I joined Planet Fitness this week too. They have a really nice facility in Southgate. The memebership is reasonable and includes a ton of services that cost extra at other gyms we have been to. They offer free instructed courses, massage chairs and tanning. I look forward to accelerating my weight loss and getting healthier with Whitney.

End of Week 2.

I've ended week 2 with a small loss. I am having trouble staying in my point range while keeping my blood sugar levels normal. Since starting Weight Watchers I have had a hell of a time calculating how much insulin to take with my meals. The calculations I used to use don't work any more and drop my blood sugar far too low. So, I have to eat to get my blood sugar back to normal and that puts me over my daily points limit. I will figure it out, but it was a depressing amount of loss after a tremendous 1st week. A loss is a loss though, it could be worse. Hopefully better results next week.
